Exhibitor Number (required)

Exhibitor number is needed and is different for:

  1. Regular Classes (which is everything else. Regular classes require a paid membership of $8.00) – 1-500 series
  2. 4-H Junior Fair – 501-600 series
  3. Baby Contest – 601-700 series
  4. Lip Sync – 701- 750 series
  5. Talent Search – 751-800 series
  6. Section 23 Junior Department – 1000-1100 series

DO NOT use a number that is not in the series assigned to the section

 

Entry Tags (required)

All entries must be TAGGED with ENTRY TAGS. Tag template is available below for Junior Department only. All other exhibit Hall entries are to use Foodland Sponsored Stormont County Fair Tags, which can be acquired from the SAS Office.

Visit the SAS Secretary Office at the Fairgrounds during the following times:

Thu, Aug 28: 6:30 pm – 9 pm
Fri, Aug 29: 8:30 am – 11 pm (or closing)

Sun, Aug 31: 8 am – 11 pm (or closing)
Mon, Sept 1: 8 am – 6 pm

Junior Entry Tags

All ENTRIES in Junior can be ENTERED ON ASSISTEXPO until 5 pm on August 28th or entered on an entry form which is available on this page. If doing an entry form, the completed entry form is handed in to the Department or as per instructions from the Department(s).

Prize Money

Any Exhibit Hall Prize Money for 2025 below $10 not picked up by end of pickup on Monday of Fair Weekend will be donated back to the Stormont Agricultural Society. Education will be sent out to the participating schools.
4-H Prize Money is presented at 4-H Awards Event.

#76. OAAS Maple Syrup Competition
Entry must be made soley by the person or family entering the competition. If entry is to potentially go on to District / OAAS, please provide 4 samples. (SAS x1, District x1, OAAS x2)

1st winning samples will be kept by SAS for the District and OAAS Competition. District awards ribbons, OAAS 1st $50, 2nd $30, 3rd $20 1st – GC from Affordable Dental, Crysler

2nd – GC Perkins Home Centre – Cornwall 3rd – GC Fat Less – Finch

 

Entry Drop-off

Friday, August 30, 8:30 to 11:30am to Stormont Hall.

Home Craft Rules and Regulations

  1. Membership fee $8.00 if not already a member.
  2. Read all rules and regulations for the Fair.
  3. Fill out the entry form carefully, listing the articles you have entered for competition. Each article must have an entry tag attached to it.
  4. All articles for competition must be in Stormont Hall on Friday (the first day of the fair) between 8:30am and 11:30am. If the above time is not suitable, nonperishable exhibits can be brought to Stormont Hall on Thursday evening between 7:30 and 8:30pm.
  5. No prizes unless worthy.
  6. All exhibits must be new and the work of the exhibitor.
  7. The exhibitor is not allowed to show the same article more than twice for judging.
  8. No exhibitor will be allowed more than (1) entry in the same section of a class.
  9. Our Fair Directors will take every precaution to ensure the safety of all articles in our exhibit area, however, they wish the exhibitors to understand that they must take the risk of exhibiting articles and that should any be accidentally damaged, lost or stolen, the Directors will give every assistance possible toward the recovery of said item, but will not make any payment of the value thereof.
  10. Exhibits must not be removed from the exhibit area until after 4:00m on Monday (the last day of the fair)
  11. Any exhibitor receiving prize money/gift cards should pick them up at the Fair Office on Monday of the fair weekend.
  12. Agricultural Judging Standards – $5.00 + HST and Homecraft Judging Standards $7.00 + HST both available from OAAS. https://ontarioagsocieties.com/shop/
  13. Points 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 points, 3rd = 3 points, etc. Ties broken by the greatest number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
  14. Stormont Hall open Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm, Sunday 11:00am – 6:00pm and Monday 9:00am – 3:34pm.
  15. Pickup on Monday is 4:00pm
