RULES AND REGULATIONS
The judges’ decisions will be final
No entry will be awarded a ribbon unless it possesses merit, even though it may be the only entry in its class.
Cut flowers in glass jars only, not vases unless stated. Do not use containers of value.
Use string to hold entry tags in place, not scotch tape.
Exhibits must conform to specifications, any not doing so will be disqualified.
(3) Stems constitute an exhibit. A stem consists of foliage and flower(s). Remove extra buds.
CLASSES
1. Petunias, single. (2) or more blooms per stem – any colour
2. Calendula, with own foliage – Under 4”
3. Asters, over 2” – Any colour
4. Zinnias, large (2” – 4 ½”) with own foliage – any colour
5. Marigold, dwarf (2-5cm/1-2”)
6. Cosmos – Any colour
7. Dahlia, no foliage – largest floating in a bowl
8. Gladioli, 3 spikes (1/3 bud, 1/3 flower, 1/3 stem (approximately 20” in length – any colour
9. Pansy, over 1”/2.5CM, no foliage – any colour
10. (3) Stems Cultivated Ornamental Grass, 1 variety, displayed dry, displayed bundled for hanging, 12-24” tall – no vase
11. Rose (Rosa), any colour, over 2”/5cm diameter, floating in bowl – any colour
12. Miniature Rose cluster stem, in a vase – any colour
13. Collection of Perennials, (3) kinds – named – (3) stems of each
14. Any flower, not listed – named
15. Phlox – any colour

RULES AND REGULATIONS
All plants must be grown and displayed in containers with a maximum diameter of 12”. Not to exceed 3’/1metre in
height, including the container.
CLASSES
1. Geranium (pelargonium), (1) plant, in bloom – any colour (must be plant of this year)
2. Coleus
3. African Violet (saintpaulia lonantha sp.), single crown, single – in bloom
4. (1) Begonia, tuberous – in bloom
5. (1) Cactus
6. Unusual Plant – named
7. House Plant, other than any listed in Section 19, classes 1-13 – named
8. Oxalis (Shamrocks)
9. (3) Varieties of Ivy – container not to exceed 10”
10. (3) Potted Herbs – named
11. Patio Planter, (2) varieties or more – judged for design
12. (1) Hibiscus in bloom

RULES AND REGULATIONS
A flower arrangement may consist of material called for, plus other foliage. Fresh Flowers need to be grown and arranged by
the exhibitor. Judged by design. Arrangements may be placed in water or ground (whichever best suits your display).
CLASSES
1. “Celebrating Canada” – fresh flower arrangement using red and white flowers in a red container
2. “Splendor without Blooms” – an all-foliage arrangement
3. “Peaches and Cream” – tones of cream to deep yellow, arrangement in a pitcher, not to exceed 20” high
4. “Playing Footsie” – an arrangement of Fall and field flowers in a piece of footwear
5. Flower arrangement including a variety of Hosta leaves
6. “Teeny Thing” – a miniature arrangement in an egg cup, or any other small container, maximum
5”/12.5cm
7. A one-sided arrangement, including (3) varieties of full blooming perennials
8. “Kitchen Kaper” – arrangement using a kitchen container
