2025-2026 STORMONT COUNTY FAIR EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS
Exhibits made during 2025-2026 school year at the child’s school.
Submitted by the school. Each grade level is judged separately.

The Shirley Aitken Participation Awards
This award focuses on student participation. One award will be given out each year. It is awarded to the student who exhibits the most pieces of work within his/her grade level. The student will receive a small plaque recognizing their hard work and contribution to the Education department. The students name will also be displayed on a perpetual plaque that will remain in the exhibit hall.
KINDERGARTEN (JK/SK):
1. Popsicle stick creation – what can you create with popsicle sticks?
2. Paper Plate Mask – create a mask of your choice using a paper plate
3. Farm Picture – Illustrate a farm picture using any medium and print a sentence about it.
4. Plenty of Patterns – Create and extend a pattern using materials of your choice.
5. Picture using textured materials (cotton, buttons, foam, noodles etc.)
6. 2D Shapes – create a picture of your choice using a variety of 2D shapes
7. Any creative design using a variety of recycled items. (Maximum height not to exceed 15 inches.
8. Anything Goes – work that does not fit in any other category
Grade 1, 2, 3:
1. A poster or collage that illustrates things families can do together instead of watching television.
2. Black History Month – showcase an art or written piece
3. Self Portrait- create a self portrait using a medium of your choice (pencil crayons, water colour, markers etc.)
4. Math Activity – Any work demonstrating a particular math related concept – (please indicate concept on exhibit tag).
5. Super Symmetry – Complete the photograph. Cut a magazine photo in half. Draw the other half of the picture. Your drawing must match the picture as much as possible. Colour using pencil crayons.
6. Indigenous Art – Showcase an indigenous art piece of your choice.
7. French Activity – Create a poster (Poster must contain the French Language)
8. ANIMAL SCIENCE POSTER – Educational poster with any animal science related topic
9. Earth Day – submit an Art or written piece that celebrates Earth Day
10. Anything Goes – work that does not fit in any other category
Grade 4, 5, 6:
